2011There’s nothing like an adorable little girl, a lemonade stand, and bright pops of color to make a session stand out. Violets Are Blue Photography built this lemonade stand herself – so if anything, I hope this session inspires you that you can create a great set by yourself.

From Violets are Blue Photography: This session was one of of the girls that came to my Simply Sweet Lemonade Mini I held this weekend.
The session was inspired from a stack of pallets that our landscaping rock was brought in on. I seen the stack and thought to myself I could build a lemonade stand out of that!
That night I started looking for inspiration on my nightly addiction of pinterest. I had found a few ideas I wanted to mix up.
I started booking the sessions and once they were booked I noticed I only had girls coming. Pink and yellow it was! After many hours of trying to rip apart pallets, having my husband cut all the boards, the help of my 3 year old (“professional painter” as he called himself) I took one trip to my TJ maxx found adorable lemonade gumballs and the cute ruffle pillow! I was in luck. This was the night before my session.
The session was a blast and done within 15 mins tops.
My tips for sessions like this:
- If you have a vision follow it.
- Lemonade stands are HEAVY. Try to pick a location that it easy to get to.
- Bring extra Lemonade and let kids be kids and laugh and giggle with them.
