Inspire Me Baby

This session from Deanna Mushins of  D Images is a classic example of the shots you want to get when photographing newborn twins, including close-ups that focus on features, full body compositions emphasizing the unique duality relationship and the cocoon swaddle. Deanna incorporates different textures and colors that work beautifully against the delicate skin tones of these twins. She also creates a sense of interaction between the babies just by the way she  has positioned their hands and heads. We welcome your feedback below, and be sure to visit Dimages.com.au for more inspiration.

    Message from Deanna:

The Divine Double: Photographing newborns is my favourite thing in the world to do! It is extremely challenging and you would think after a while it would get easier but I always have that feeling of just never knowing what the day/session will bring!

These twins little boys “Marcus and Joshua” were just ideal subjects born at 37weeks they were 13 days old at the session I was very very lucky! With twins you have to work extra hard to get them both posed correctly in a short space of time because there seem to wake at different times and that limits you to maybe 20 minutes in a 3-4hours session sometimes!

One thing I remember take with me was my “noise maker” featuring sounds of the womb, I find it always helps and i think it did especially with this session!
