2012A gorgeous senior session by Lacey D Photography! Her advice is to always have the senior’s hair and makeup professionally done as part of your session. What about you – is this something you’re offering as part of your senior packages? Might be a great way to separate yourself from the competition and allow you to attract business from the upper end of the market.
This was one of my Senior Reps for the class of 2013.
I knew right away this would be a fun shoot when I saw the pile of outfits Brooke had gathered for us to decide on for her shoot. It looked like her closet exploded! lol.
Like all my sessions, we started with hair and makeup. Brooke was super funny and entertaining the whole time. I knew this girl was gonna take some great photos. Once hair and makeup was finished, we met up at a farm in town to start the real fun! We had some crazy times chasing after her horse, but even with that and the super hot weather, we managed to get some stunning portraits.
I really think having all your sessions come with professional hair and makeup is the way to go. Not only does your senior get to be pampered and feel like a model for the day, you also get an extra hour or more to get to know your senior. The hair and makeup make them feel confident and the hour talk with them makes them feel comfortable around you.
Gear Used:
For this session I used my Canon 50D and my 30mm 1.4 lens.

I think adding hair and makeup is a great! I have considered it myself but was not sure is was really something I wanted to do so I am glad to hear that you find it a good addition.
