Beauty is in the details!

Attention to details!  How well do you do it?  Do you call your client before the session and ask to see what their little girl will be wearing?  That’s what Mary Nichols Photography does.  Those are the little things that can help you stand out from the crowd and earn repeat customers!  What a great choice to bring the tea set as a prop; some of these shots would just look empty without it.  Very beautiful!

I have two little boys of my whom I absolutely adore and have made my life ALL boy. One of the things I love about being a photographer is I am able to still get my dress up fix when working with my little girl clients. I treasure them! For my styled child sessions I work very closely with the parents to make sure all the little details work nicely to bring the vision for the session to life. This little ladies mom and I corresponded through several emails discussing her dress, the colors, and the over-all feel we wanted to achieve. Once her dress arrived I asked her mom to send me photos so I could see it before hand. I find it very important to know exactly what you are going to be working with so you can visualize things before hand. Another area I focus on with my styled child sessions are props. When working with props I like to incorporate that one little detail that ties it all together. In this case it was this amazing little tea set! It also didn’t hurt that this little doll was stunningly gorgeous!

Gear Used:
Cannon 50D, 35 1.4L lens
Images were processed with my LR presets, and purely studio actions.
