Whimsical Woodland Fairies

Such an adorable session from Jillian McDermott Photography.  I love it when a session that is completely family-run (models, props, photog) turns out great!  That is not always the case but I would say this time it was a resounding success!

This session was quite the challenge! I am obsessed with the look of floral crowns and finally had the chance to be able to incorporate it into a session. This session is with my daughter and two nieces. I went out and bought wood vine and flowers and quickly went home to make the floral crowns. The tutu skirts were already made as my mother and mother in law make it for their Etsy shop. This session was quite the challenge as the girls fight like sisters. Capturing their attention also proved to be a challenge as the crowns were itchy and they always wanted to move from their poses. Once one of the girls moved their pose, it would ruin the the dynamic of picture. To expect a flawless session from a 4,5 and 6 year old, is impossible, but we worked through it. While this was not an easy feat, it was so worth it to be able to get these gorgeous images of these stunning little girls:) The session turned out exactly how I envisioned and I absolutely love when that happens!
