When I read Lacy Hampton’s description of this session I was reminded of Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art and how the creative effort requires a unique kind of persistence and a commitment to one’s profession. Each day there are internal forces (and external ones) trying to squelch our ability to make art. Be it a fear of the unknown, neighbors who think we’re crazy or any of the infinite number of obstacles that get in our way, the battle to create, learn and grow is “fought anew each day.” Thanks to Lacy for reminding us of how it’s done.
